JAKARTA, Pesisirnasional.com- Sempat digadang-gadangkan untuk menjadi moderator pada acara Debat Calon Presiden (Capres) 2019 mendatang, Karni Ilyas, presenter acara Indonesian Lawyer Club (ILC) itu menolak.

“Jangan. Jangan saya yg menjadi moderator Debat Capres dan Cawapres 2019,” tulis Karni Ilyas pada paragraf pertama melalui akun Twitternya @karniilyas, Sabtu (29/12/2018).

Dikatakannya, dirinya berharap ada moderator yang lebih muda, pintar dan cekatan untuk memandu acara tersebut.

“Hajatan yg sebesar itu sebaiknya dibawakan oleh moderator yg lebih muda, pintar, dan cekatan,” lanjut tulisannya di Tweet yang sama.

Karni berharap agar Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) tidak menunjuk dirinya dan ia meminta maaf kepada yang followernya yang meminta dirinya untuk menjadi moderator.

“Saya sungguh berharap KPU tidak menunjuk saya. Saya mohon maaf untuk yg minta saya jadi moderator,” tulisnya mengakhiri Tweet. (red)
