JAKARTA, Pesisirnasional.com- Komisioner Badan Pengawas Pemilu Fritz Edward Siregar mengatakan tidak ada pelanggaran kampanye terkait dengan aksi 2019 ganti presiden. “Ini bagian dari kebebasan berbicara,” kata Fritz di Jakarta, Senin (27/8) menanggapi aksi 2019 ganti presiden.

Namun demikian, Fritz mengatakan dalam menyampaikan kebebasan berbicara hendaknya tetap patuh kepada peraturan dan perundang-undangan yang berlaku. Ia menyampaikan, sesuai UU No 7/2018 tentang Pemilu, maka yang disebut dengan pelanggaran kampanye baru dapat terjadi bila KPU telah menetapkan calon peserta pemilu termasuk calon presiden dan wakil presiden.

Sementara hingga saat ini belum ada satupun bakal calon presiden dan wakil presiden yang ditetapkan oleh Komisi Pemilihan Umum. Untuk itu, menurut dia, masalah ini bukan menjadi kewenangan Bawaslu.

Fritz menyampaikan apabila terjadi hal-hal yang dinilai melanggar hukum, intimidasi, persekusi maka dapat dilaporkan ke kepolisian. “Pihak kepolisian melakukan apa yang seharusnya dilakukan,” katanya.(rci/red)
