MEDAN,PesisirNasional- Personel Polsek Medan Baru, Medan, Sumatera Utara menangkap DPS (28), seorang ibu, warga Tulung Mili Indah, Kotabumi Ilir, Kotabumi, Kabupaten Lampung Utara, Provinsi Lampung, pelaku pembuangan bayi perempuan di tong sampah.
Kapolsek Medan Baru Kompol Martuasah Tobing, Senin, mengatakan tersangka ditangkap enam jam setelah sang bayi ditemukan di dalam tong sampah.
Bayi tersebut, menurut dia, ditemukan Jasminto Siagian, petugas Dinas Kebersihan Kota Medan, dalam keadaan tidak bernyawa di tempat pembuangan sampah sementara di Jalan Antariksa Medan, persis depan Komplek CBD, Selasa (19/3).
“Wanita pembuang bayi itu, asal Lampung merupakan pembantu rumah tangga di Perumahan Malibu Indah,” ujar Martuasah.
Ia mengatakan, dari keterangan petugas Dinas Kebersihan Kota Medan Jasminto mengutip sampah di Blok E, F dan H, di Perumahan Malibu Indah.
Berdasarkan keterangan itu, petugas melakukan penyelidikan dan menemukan pasien wanita atas nama DPS di Rumah Sakit Materna Medan mengalami pendarahan.
Selanjutnya, dilakukan interogasi, dan wanita itu mengakui bahwa dirinya baru saja melahirkan bayi, serta dimasukkan olehnya ke dalam plastik kresek, kemudian membuangnya ke tong sampah milik majikannya di Perumahan Malibu Indah Blok H Nomor 27.
Polisi dari tempat kejadian (TKP) mengamankan barang bukti sebuah pisau cukur, plastik kresek, dan sepasang baju tidur milik pelaku.
“Atas perbuatan tersebut, pelaku dikenakan pasal 342 subsider pasal 341 KUHP, dengan ancaman hukuman sembilan tahun,” katanya lagi.
Sebelumnya, warga yang bermukim di Jalan CBD, Sari Rejo, Medan Polonia mendapati bayi perempuan sudah tidak bernyawa di dalam tong sampah, pertama kali ditemukan oleh petugas Dinas Kebersihan Kota Medan, Selasa (19/3).
Polisi mengevakuasi jasad bayi tersebut ke Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara Medan.
