Mapel Informatika Berbeda dengan TIK

JAKARTA,Pesisirnasional.com- Mata pelajaran (mapel) Informatika akan mulai diterapkan pada tahun ajaran 2019 mendatang. Nantinya, mapel Informatika di jenjang SMP akan diporsi dua jam pelajaran begitupun di jenjang SMA mapel Informatika diporsi dua hingga tiga jam pelajaran. Meskipun di jenjang SMA, Informatika termasuk pada mapel pilihan.

Hal itu disampaikan oleh Kepala Pusat Kurikulum dan Perbukuan (Puskurbuk) Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud) Awalludin Tjalla. Dia menambahkan, nanti konsep mapel Informatika juga akan berbeda dengan mapel TIK (Teknologi Informatika dan Komunikasi). Namun, ada juga beberapa hal yang diadaptasi dari mapel TIK.

“Muatan TIK yakni aplikasi produk TIK untuk menunjang pembelajaran dan tugas sehari-hari itu masih perlu dijalankan sebagai bagian dari program literasi digital yang sudah dijalankan,” jelas Tjalla kepada Republika.co.id, Ahad (2/9).

Dia melanjutkan, dalam muatan Informatika setidaknya harus mencakup lima materi penting yang bakal menunjang kompetensi siswa di era revolusi industri 4.0. Seperti teknik komputer, jaringan komputer/ internet, analisis data, dampak sosial informatika, hingga programming.

Selain itu, kata Tjalla, siswa juga dituntut agar bisa berpikir komputasional. “Nantinya berpikir komputasional itu akan diseminasikan dalam kegiatan belajar semua muatan, baik infomatika maupun non informatika, yang dijadikan basis belajar,” jelas Tjalla.

Karena itu dia berharap, mapel Informatika bisa tersampaikan dengan baik dan tepat. Sehingga siswa pun akan memiliki pengetahuan lebih banyak terkait teknologi informasi yang bisa menunjang cita-citanya di masa yang akan datang.

Sebelumnya, Ketua Umum Ikatan Guru Indonesia (IGI) Muhammad Ramli Rahim mengatakan, nantinya materi yang akan diajarkan dari mapel Informatika akan lebih berat dari mapel TIK sebelumnya yang lebih teoritis dan mudah. Mapel Informatika akan mempelajari Computational Thinking dengan materi STEM Computer Science or Coding Computer Programming.

“Mapel TIK di masa lalu memang tak cukup untuk menjadi mapel karena materinya adalah materi-materi yang terlalu mudah dan dangkal. Dengan computational thinking, mapel Informatika akan jadi lebih keren buat siswa,” ungkap Ramli.

Karena itu Ramli berharap apa yang informasikan Kepala Balitbang Kemendikbud Totok Suprayitno bisa segera dirilis oleh Kemendikbud secara resmi. Sebab, hal tersebut tentunya akan menjadi kabar baik bagi semua guru TIK yang selama ini tidak jelas statusnya dan hanya dijadikan “bimbingan”.

Meskipun demikian, lanjut Ramli, tentu saja kemampuan digital harus dimiliki oleh seluruh guru, bukan hanya guru mapel Informatika. Karena selama ini guru mapel informatika banyak direpotkan oleh guru-guru jadul yang tidak mau berubah. (rci/red)
