Ribuan Pelari dari 9 Negara Bakal Maraton Keliling Kawasan Candi Prambanan

YOGYAKARTA,PesisirNasional- Mandiri Jogja Marathon 2019 segera digelar. Ribuan pelari dari sembilan negara akan beradu cepat dalam lomba yang mengambil rute di kawasan Candi Prambanan itu.

Sekitar 7.500 pelari dari sembilan negara bakal adu cepat di ajang lomba lari Mandiri Jogja Marathon 2019. Lomba dengan rute lari mengelilingi kawasan Candi Prambanan itu akan memperebutkan total hadiah Rp 1 miliar.

Vice President Corporate Communications Bank Mandiri, Rudi As Aturridha, mengatakan lomba lari yang akan digelar Minggu 28 April 2019 ini akan mengambil start dan finis di kawasan Candi Prambanan.

Sebanyak 670 pelari akan mengikuti kategori full marathon, 1.530 pelari mengikuti kategori half marathon, 2.280 pelari di kategori 10K, dan lebih dari 3 ribu pelari mengikuti kategori 5K. Sebanyak 24 pelari internasional dipastikan ambil bagian di gelaran ini.

Khusus pada kategori full marathon, para pelari akan melintasi 13 desa di sekitar Candi Prambanan, Candi Plaosan, dan Monumen Taruna.

“Dalam pemilihan rute Iari, kami mempertimbangkan kenyamanan para pelari di mana peserta lomba dapat berkompetisi sambil menikmati keindahan alam dan kehangatan masyarakat Yogyakarta,” kata Rudi saat jumpa pers di Hotel Marriot Yogyakarta, Kamis (4/4/2019).

Race Director Mandiri Jogja Marathon, Pandu Buntaran, menambahkan peserta dapat melakukan race pack collection pada 26-27 April 2019 di Hotel Royal Ambarrukmo, Yogyakarta. Sementara race village akan berada di kawasan Candi Prambanan serta akan diisi dengan pertunjukan musik.

Dalam rute yang bakal dilewati, peserta akan melewati berbagai destinasi. Start akan dilakukan di lapangan utama Roro Jonggrang, selanjutnya pemandangan Gunung Merapi bisa dinikmati pelari mulai Km 13-15. Selanjutnya di Km 26, pelari akan disambut oleh Monumen Taruna Perjuangan dengan Museum Pelataran.

Kemudian di Km 37-39 pelari bisa menikmati pemandangan Candi Plaosan Lor dan Plaosan Kidul. Di Km 40 akan tersaji pemandangan Candi Sewu dan Candi Bubrah sebelum akhirnya finis di Candi Prambanan.

“Selain titik tersebut, di beberapa rute pelari juga akan menikmati pemandangan sawah dan nuansa pedesaan yang sangat khas dengan kearifan lokal jawa khususnya Yogyakarta,” jelasnya.
