Empat Pelaku Ditangkap, BC Dumai Gagalkan Penyeludupan Puluhan Satwa Langka

Dumai (pesisirnasional.com) – Bea Cukai Dumai kembali berhasil menggagalkan upaya penyeludupan satwa langka di terminal Ro-Ro Bandar Sri Junjungan Kota Dumai Kamis (21/03/2019) sekira Pukul 12.30 WIB. Dalam operasi tersebut petugas mengamankan sbanyak 38 ekor burung cendrawasih, Kaka tua raja hitam dan Rangkong serta dua ekor primata jenis owa senilai Rp 3 miliar

Menurut Kepala BC Dumai, Fuad Fauzi dalam ekspose perkara, pngungkapan ini berdasarkan informasi masyarakat bahwa akan ada kegiatan penyelundupan satwa yang dilindungi dari Lampung yang akan dikirim ke Malaysia melalui Pelabuhan Dumai.

‘Berdasarkan informasi tersebut tim seksi Penindakan dan Penyidikan KPPBC TMP B Dumai melakukan kordinasi dengan POM AL untuk
melakukan kegiatan penindakan bersama,” ujar Fuad.

Pada pukul 11.00 wib tim KPPBC TMP B Dumai bersama POM AL mendapat informasi bahwa 2 (dua) unit mobil yang diduga mengangkut satwa yang dilindungi telah memasuki kota Dumai dan akan melakukan penyeberangan dari Dumai ke Pulau Rupat, Kabupaten Bengkalis melalui terminal Roro Bandar Sri Junjungan Dumai.

Atas informasi tersebut selanjutnya Tim Seksi Penindakan dan Penyidikan KPPBC TMP B Dumai dan POM AL Dumai bergerak menuju ke Terminal Roro Bandar Sri Junjungan dan melakukan pemeriksaan terhadap kendaraan roda empat yang sedang antri untuk naik ke kapal Roro.

Berdasarkan ciri-ciri dari informasi yang diperoleh sebelumnya dari hasil pemeriksaan ditemukan 2 (dua) unit mobil Suzuki APV dengan
nopol B 1471 WKO dan mobil Toyota Avanza-Xenia nopol BE 1080 EP yang bermuatan satwa-satwa dilindungi dan mengamankan 4 orang yang diduga mengangkut satwa dilindungi tersebut.

Modusnya, pelaku mengangkut satwa dilindungi dengan menggunakan mobil minibus yang
sudah dimodifikasi sedemikian rupa dari Lampung ke Dumai hendak menyeberang ke Pulau Rupat, Kab Bengkalis dan selanjutnya diduga akan
diselundupkan ke Malaysia dengan menggunakan speedboat.

Perkiraan nilai barang Rp. 3 Milyar, potensi kerugian negara immaterial akibat perdagangan ilegal satwa liar mengancam kepunahan dan mengakibatkan kerusakan ekosistem.

Pelaku diduga melanggar Pasal 21 ayat (2) UU No. 5 Tahun 1990 tentang Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam Hayati dan Ekosistemnya jo. Pasal 102A UU No. 10 Tahun 1995 tentang Kepabeanan sebagaimana telah diubah dengan UU No. 17 Tahun 2006.

Lanjut Fuad, saat ini masih dilakukan penelitian dan persiapan untuk dilimpahkan ke BKSDA Dumai. (Ry) (- Bea Cukai Dumai berhasil menggagalkan upaya penyelundupan satwa yang dilindungi di terminal Ro-Ro Bandar Sri Junjungan Kota Dumai Kamis (21/03/2019) sekira Pukul 12.30 WIB.(Zul)
