Sekda: Pemkot Bakal Desain Ulang Drainase di Kota Dumai

DUMAI, Pesisirnasional- Sekretaris daerah (sekda) Kota Dumai Ir. H M Nasir mengatakan penyebab terjadinya banjir karena saluran drainase yang dibangun pemerintah kota ditutupi lapisan cor sebanyak dua lapis, sehingga air yang mengalir terhambat keluar dan menggenangi jalan setinggi 15 cm.

Hal tersebut dikatakan ketika meninjau lokasi banjir di Jalan Cempedak Kelurahan Rimba Sekampung kecamatan Dumai kota, Sabtu (13/10/2018).

Dilanjutkan Nasir yang juga mantan Kadis PUPR ini, untuk kedepannya, pihak pemko berencana akan menata ulang Drainase di kota Dumai.

“Pemerintah kota Dumai akan berencana mendesain ulang drainase dengan dua pintu saja, dengan menutup pembuangan air yang tiga belas pintu menuju ke laut menjadi dua pintu saja, karena dengan tiga belas pintu sekarang ini tidak dapat digunakan lagi kondisinya sekarang, pelabuhan Dumai kondisi sekarang mengalami ketinggian daratannya dikarenakan proses pengembangan dengan pola penimbunan sehingga permukaan daratan di pinggir pelabuhan menjadi bertambah tinggi, jika ini dibiarkan maka air yang dari laut melalui tiga belas pintu yang ada akan masuk ke daratan yang lebih rendah karena sifat air adalah mencari tempat yang rendah,” jelas Nasir panjang lebar.

“Apatah lagi dimusim air pasang, dimasa akan dating kita akan melakukan koordinasi dan akan mengadakan rapat untuk memabahas ini, karena semuanya inti tidak terlepas dari biaya serta anggaran yang dibutuhkan, apalagi kondisi sekarang ini keuangan pemerintah kota dumai sangatlah kecil, oleh karena itu kita akan melibatkan perusahaan-perusahaan yang ada dipelabuhan,” pungkas Nasir mengakhiri pembicaraan.(red)
