PESISIR NASIONAL, SOFIA- Sedikitnya 15 orang meninggal dalam kecelakaan bus pada Sabtu (25/8) di Bulgaria. Sementara Menteri Kesehatan Bulgaria Kiril Ananiev kepada wartawan mengatakan 27 orang lagi mengalami cedera.
Menurut Kementerian Dalam Negeri Bulgaria, kecelakaan tersebut terjadi sekitar pukul 17.10 waktu setempat (22.10 WIB) di Iskar Gorge di dekat Kota Svoge, sekitar 40 kilometer di sebelah utara Ibu Kota Bulgaria, Sofia. Kecelakaan tersebut terjadi ketika bus itu terbalik di jalan raya.
Penyebab kecelakaan tersebut masih diselidiki. Menurut para pejabat lokal, penumpang di dalam bus itu sedang bertamasya, yang diselenggarakan oleh klub pensiunan, dan tak ada orang asing di antara mereka.
Dewan Menteri mengumumkan Senin sebagai hari berkabung nasional. Pada 2017, kecelakaan lalu-lintas menewaskan 682 orang di negara Balkan tersebut.
