DUMAI- Tekad memberantas dan mencegah terjadinya Kebakaran Hutan dan Lahan (Karhutla) di Kota Dumai menjadi komitmen semua pihak. Baik itu dari masyarakat, instansi swasta terkait, TNI- Polri dan Pemerintah Kota Dumai. Melalui tekad tersebut, dibentuklah Satuan Tugas (Satgas) Karlahut Mandiri Tangguh Bersatu (MTB) di Kecamatan Sungai Sembilan.

Satgas MTB ini langsung dikukuhkan oleh Wakil Walikota Dumai, Eko Suharjo, Jumat (3/5) di Kantor Camat Sungai Sembilan. Dimana satgas ini merupakan inisiatif dan kepedulian PT Ruas Utama Jaya (RUJ), Polri, TNI dan masyarakat terhadap kebakaran hutan dan lahan yang terjadi di Kota Dumai.

Wakil Walikota Dumai, Eko Suharjo dalam sambutannya mengatakan permasalahan kebakaran hutan dan lahan sudah menjadi perhatian bersama. Oleh karena itu, dengan dibentuknya Satgas Karlahut MTB, maka Pemerintah Kota Dumai sangat mengapresiasikannya.

” Pemerintah Kota Dumai berterimakasih atas inisiatif terbentuk satgas ini dan ini merupakan wujud kepedulian terhadap kebakaran hutan dan lahan di Kota Dumai. Kita juga berharap wacana seperti ini menjadi contoh bagi perusahan lainnya untuk peduli terhadap kebakaran hutan dan lahan di Kota Dumai,” jelas Eko Raharjo

Sementara itu, Kepala Unit HTI PT RUJ didampingi Humas Heat PT RUJ Zulkifli Amran menyampaikan, latar belakang tercetusnya Satgas Karlahut MTB ini berangkat dari kerap terjadi kebakaran yang setiap tahun terus saja melanda Kota Dumai.

“Bekerjasama dan berdiskusi dengan Polri, TNI dan masyarakat akhirnya terbentuk lah Satgas ini dengan sasaran mengatasi Karhutla di Kota Dumai. Alhamdulillah, satu tahun belakang titik api sedikitnya sudah mulai berkurang di Kota Dumai,” ujarnya.

Kepala Unit HTI PT RUJ itu menjelaskan, bahwasanya perusahaan berkomitmen dan mendukung program Pemerintah dalam mencegah terhadap kebakaran yang terjadi di Kota Dumai. “ Salah satunya melaksanakan pelatihan kepada petugas pemadam kebakaran,” jelasnya

“Kedepannya, kita siap berkolaborasi dengan Pemerintah untuk mendukung wacana dalam mencegah Karhutla, sehingga Kota Dumai bebas dari titik api dan kabut asap. Amin,” tegasnya lagi.(Info/Diskominfo)
